Plumas Street Improvements, Streetscape Redevelopment, Yuba City

Beginning with the revitalization of the main street corridor through downtown, Yuba City is seeking to rekindle and focus interest in its urban core. Plumas Street and several connecting side streets were master planned for a new streetscape and rehabilitation project. The Carlile • Macy professional land survey team prepared base mapping and topographic survey for the entire site, including underground piping systems. Our civil engineering team prepared civil design for the project, laying out the new geometry for the revitalized streetscape corridor including narrower streets, expanded sidewalk and parkway planting areas, bulb-outs for seating and gathering, and outdoor restaurant seating. All civil engineering design details were prepared by Carlile • Macy with special consideration given to ADA accessibility at all existing businesses and a unique planting scheme with emphasis on creating a safe and pedestrian friendly downtown.
