The project was a partnership between the City of Santa Rosa Parks Department, For Pete’s Sake Non-profit Organization, Black Oaks Soccer and Carlile • Macy to create an all-weather sports field for the citizens of Sonoma County. It includes a rugby/soccer field, pedestrian path, and memorial garden. Carlile • Macy provided surveying, completed the preliminary design and construction documents for the project at no cost to the city or the client.

A Place to Play

Aston Avenue

Aston Avenue is a ten-unit apartment house project transitioning homeless families through subsidized housing provided on a short term basis to independence and re-entry into society. This project was sponsored, managed and championed through Community Action Plan. Carlile • Macy donated both planning and engineering services toward the approval of the project over an eighteen month timeframe. A local coalition of home builders led by Christopherson Homes and Cobblestone Homes donated time, labor and materials toward the construction of the project and also coordinated the efforts of other contractors wishing to donate their materials and labor. Through all of the contributing efforts of contractors and consultants this very important project is nearing completion.
